ONGOING PROJECTS
Katie Martucci Band
Fusing old time folk and jazz traditions, Katie Martucci writes original indie-chamber compositions for a unique string quartet featuring Camellia Hartman and Darian Thomas (violins), Rob Taylor (upright bass), with Martucci singing and playing guitar.
Sincere Gifts
Sincere Gifts is an art music project founded by Nick Campbell and Ben Wigler. Each performance is singular, with its own sonic palette and conceptual framework. While there are core musicians involved in each performance, the ensemble shifts from location-to-location, bringing in special collaborators for each experience to make it unique to that place and time. The musical style is best described as “magical realism.”
Georgia Sackler Band
Georgia Sackler is a Brooklyn-based musician, originally hailing from south Florida. Her folk-twinged singer-songwriter sound has been praised as highly evocative, adeptly marrying a reminiscence of the past with a hope for the future. She grew up listening almost exclusively to the greats of the 60s folk scene, most frequently Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, and The Carpenters, but feels a particular kinship with Joni Mitchell. Georgia released her debut EP, Where Once Grew Green, in 2019.
Kill the Whale
An irreverent musical re-telling of Moby-Dick, currently workshopping and performing as an orchestral pop ensemble that will soon be manifested as a live musical production.
DAP the Contract
PAST
Eric Slick’s Bullfighter Quartet
Following the 2018 release of Eric Slick’s Bullfighter (Boiled Records), Slick conceptualized a live orchestration of the album with Katie Jacoby (violin), Camellia Hartman (violin), Midori Witkowski (viola), and Kristine Kruta (cello). Bullfighter is an avant-folk song cycle about the first Jewish American matador, Sidney Franklin.
Vera Sola
Enigmatic and honest, Vera Sola is an utterly unique poet and musician described as the ‘lost love child of Leonard Cohen and Nancy Sinatra.’ Launched in June of 2017 with the Aster Quartet, Vera Sola has since released her debut album Shades and toured the world several times over, occasionally reconnecting with collaborators from the Aster Quartet along the way.
